How many planets are there?

First there was Quaoar, a Kuiper Belt object, found in 2002, half the diameter of Pluto and 1.6 billion kilometers further away than Pluto, then Sedna, then most recently 2003 UB313, claimed by the discoveres to be the 10th planet.
